Gerry created this mixed medium sketch of a cathedral in Switzerland while on one of his three trips to Europe. The skyline of the city is dominated by the spires of the Protestant Cathedral of Notre Dame, which Gerry showed rising above a cluster of surrounding stone houses and shops. Gerry visited Lausanne, a popular tourist spot located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, during his second trip to Europe.
